Name; Jessi, Jes Age; 5 Gender; Female Breed; grey wolf
Desired Pack; Cestos Pack
Appearance: Jessi is the lighter color of the two brother's She carries the colors and markings of their mother. She has many shades of browns grey's and creams. Her chest and underside are mostly cream but there are some splashes of redish brown color, upon her back is somewhat of a black saddle that runs from her shoulders down her back and along the top of her tail. Wrapped around her eyes is a very soft cream color that brings out her soft baby blue eyes and the top of her head is blended with grey red brown and some cream. She seems to always have one fang visible.
Personality: Bold; Ambitious; Calm; Confident Jessi has a very strong personality. With high ambitions, she would rather be at the top of any hierarchal system, and will work her way up as far as possible. She will speak her mind on any subject, not bothering to beat around the bush. Bluntness is something she prefers. Though Jessi is fair to her underlings, she doesn’t tolerate any disobedience. She is quick to lash out with teeth drawn for those unfortunate enough to get to close to her on a bad day. She likes her space, and demands it. Jessi is quick to punish, but quick to forgive too. It takes some time to get used to her likes and dislikes. The more one avoids pushing her buttons, the less nips or cuffs one will receive. She is quick to set boundaries for her fellow pack members.
Though her ambitions will drive her toward dominance, if the alpha is strong and confidence, she submits easily. For being a dominant wolf and despite the times she lashes out at others, her personality is pretty balanced and calm. Trustworthy and reliable, any alpha would be lucky to have her as a beta. Intensely confident in stress-filled situations, she can often be seen with a small but infuriating smile on her lips when facing a dispute.
History: Jessi was born to a small pack, her mother and father the alphas’ of it. Jessi was the smallest pup in her litter, out of the other two. Her mother was prone to having medium litters. Pup life wasn’t as luxurious in the small pack, but the adults made do with what they had. From the start Jessi showed dominance among her litter mates. Though she was a female, Jessi rose quickly to be the dominant pup in the group. Her mother and father were quite proud of her, planning to make her their heir if no male pup suited for the job came along. Jessi grew determined to prove that she would be just as suited for leadership as a male. She was an ambitious pup from the beginning.
Growing up into a beautiful, strong young wolf, Jessi was the pride of her parents. Unfortunately, they were old, and being pregnant with three large pups had weakened her severely. Her mother didn’t make it past Jessi’s first winter. The small family grieved for the loving mother, but soon recovered from the loss. Gradually, one by one, her litter mates wandered off to find packs of their own. Jessi, her brother Steel, and two others made up the pack now, smaller than ever. Though it seemed a prime time for Jessi to rise even further in pack ranks, she was stuck beneath beta. One of the two brothers that shared her father’s pack was beta, and her ambition drove her to disgruntlement with her place.
She would challenge the other wolf, being graced with lithe grace perfect for fighting. Jessi wouldn’t put much thought process into the challenge, it had to be witnessed by the rest of the pack. After a long hunt had ended successfully, the pack gathered around to eat. Her brother went first, without his.(She was past the puppyhood right of eating with the alphas) After he had gorged himself, the current beta stepped up to his rightful share. Before he could get to the carcass, Jessi jumped past him, taking his place. The male was outraged, and advanced with stiff legs and raised hackles. This immediately brought the whole packs attention to the pair. Without warning and the usual face-off that most wolves shared before a fight, Jessi sprang at him, gaining advantage quickly.
The fight didn’t last long, and Jessi was declared victor. She proudly took her place as beta at her brother’s side during pack activities, and life continued like normal. One night while patrolling the borders with the pack, a lone wolf was scented. Everyone’s hackles rose at the intruder’s scent. The pack howled angrily at the unseen intruder and waited for the loner to show himself. As the loner got closer, something immediately didn’t seem right. The wolf has a deadly sick smell along with his scent, though they did not recognize it. The loner got closer yet, and how their hackles were raised in fear and anger. There was something terribly wrong. The wolf lurched unsteadily, appearing dizzy and disorientated. Drool foamed from the intruder’s mouth, and angry grimace in place from the pain of the sickness. Though Jessi’s unfortunate pack didn’t know it, the strange wolf had contracted rabies. Jessi’s brother faced the other wolf off, warning him against entering their territory. The rabid wolf lunged at her brother, catching him by surprise. The fight escalated, but driven by madness, the rabid wolf killed Jessi’s brother, and lurched toward the rest of the pack. They all fled in instinctive terror, breaking up in the process.
Jessi wandered on her own for a few months, trying to reunite with the one brother that had fled a couple months before the pack split. She had no luck, and set off to either start her own pack, or join another small one. One were her ambitions could be easily satiated.
RP example; The ground was hard and uncomfortable beneath the steady thrumming of her paws. A muffled growl broke through her silent lips. The sound was annoyed. It was annoyed not only because of the icy ground packed down hard beneath her paws, but because the general scenery annoyed her. There was no cover out on this forsaken ground. The only vegetation was sickly and sparse; it was much different from her own homeland and it made her uncomfortable. The freezing rain didn’t help either. The she-wolf’s tri-colored head was lowered between her sleek, well muscled shoulders. A well equipped nose sampled the air more thoroughly then necessary, untrusting of this strange landscape. For secondary sensory input, her ears swiveled around her head, taking in the minute sounds around her. And, though redundant, soft baby blue eyes scanned the scenery warily, looking for any signs of life.
Life had not shown itself yet. Jessi had scented what resembled a border, though only the single scent of a male was present. This fact made her scan more and made her more wary. The presence of another wolf could , mean good and bad things for her. This male could bring the hope of joining another pack. However, it could mean her imminent death for trespassing. He could be just rouge trying to survive in this unforgiving land. Maybe, if he was rouge, he would be interested in joining with her to make a pack. Hopefully he wouldn’t take it to mean being mates though. As she pondered this, her mind recoiled from the thought of finding a mate. Only downside to the whole ‘creating a pack’ thing.
Would this god-forsaken land ever produce some decent cover? Jessi’s mind raged. This blasted openness was really getting on her nerves. She wondered if the whole territory was like this. If this was a territory staked out by another wolf, it had to have drinkable water some were near. Water meant vegetation Prey too. The scent of a strange, prey-like animal drifted from the pitted earth. Holes, she realized. The creatures must dwell in them. Jessi padded closer to a strong smelling hole to investigate. Pricked ears caught the faint sound of small animals chirping to each other. They were all down too deep to bother trying to get a meal. Blasted weather should have me under decent cover. They’re smart. Jessi thought as she plodded along through the freezing rain.
Cold didn’t bother her. Wet didn’t bother her. Cold and wet put together bothered her. By now she was fairly annoyed. She had been keeping a steady trot for a while now, and there had been no sign of the male who she scented earlier. Finally, she had come upon a bush that would completely cover her. How convenient, Jessi thought wryly, a grin forming on her lips despite her annoyance. With one last swivel around of the ears and eyes, she lowered her ears to best shed the rain off, and ducked beneath the enclosing branches of the scrawny shrub. Pulling her limbs as close to her body as possible, Jessi settled down to wait out the rain. She would continue searing later. With a deep breath, Jessi settled her head on her paws, flicking her ears now and again.
